KABUL, Afghanistan – Ariana Television Network (ATN) has secured the exclusive media rights to broadcast the FIFA World Cup 2026 across Afghanistan, bringing the world’s biggest sporting event to millions of viewers nationwide.
The tournament, which will run from June 11 to July 19, 2026, marks a historic milestone for international football. For the first time, the FIFA World Cup will be hosted by three countries – the United States, Canada and Mexico – and will feature an expanded format of 48 national teams competing in 104 matches, making it the largest edition in the tournament’s history.





As Afghanistan’s exclusive broadcaster, ATN will deliver comprehensive television coverage of the tournament, giving football fans across the country access to every major moment, from the opening match to the final.
The agreement further strengthens ATN’s position as Afghanistan’s leading destination for premium international sports coverage. In recent years, the network has expanded its portfolio with rights to some of the world’s most prominent sporting competitions, reinforcing its commitment to bringing global events to Afghan audiences.
